  • My journey at Urban beauty Academy was challenging. I seldom never had the funds to travel to classes but I am grateful to Urban beauty that funded my education. Urban beauty academy placed me into a salon in Brackenfell.

  • I was so excited when I found out that there is an academy in Kuilsriver that allows short courses for nail technology, It was always my passion to become a nail tech. Thank you to Urban beauty academy all my dreams has come true. Urban beauty academy placed me into one of the top spa in cape town. I am earning average of 10 thousand a month now. I will always be grateful to Claudia Van Schalkwyk for this opportunity.

  • I came across the academy in the newspaper, I immediately knew this is a good opportunity for me. I continued my classes at the Stellenbosch branch , travelling thru winter months was very difficult but I knew it was worth it. UBA placed me into a permanently work in waterfront woolworths

  • I was very shy when I arrived at UBA, but after a few months a discovered my strengths and realise that hard work does not KILL you. Hours was long but I preserved. I loved the techniques UBA taught me and the standard of quality education. Today I am working in a salon in Bellville and from home.

  • I am from the rural areas of Franschoek.. I heard about UBA, I had NO Matric certificates and was very difficult for me to study further without that, UBA acknowledge my passion for practical work and trained me part time. I am now currently working from home doings nails and massages and part time for one of the top spa in Franschoek.. Boschendal

  • My family is all in eastern cape and I wanted to become a nail tech. I heard my friend told me about this place that trains young girls. I started in 2015 and I am still with UBA, full time employed because I want to learn more from UBA, they understand the fact that I am a slow learner and has patient with me. I am earning money on weekends at the UBA beauty salon to gain more experience.

  • I do not have parents and looking after my little baby sister. I explained this to UBA in my interview . UBA sponsored my entire course for me and I am currently working in the work integrated salon earning money and gaining more experience. I am going to be trained as a full therapist by 2016. I am still grateful.

  • My mom saw the ad in the newspaper and knew she had to come and see what the school is about. WE met the owner and explained that my mom is a single parent and cannot afford the studies. The travelling to school was tuff but I pulled thru, I am now working at Placecol Zewenwaght mall.

  • I did not study at UBA but was personally trained by the owner Claudia Van Schalkwyk at one of her spa in waterfront. I was working for urban beauty for 3 years and received my training thru a apprenticeship programme. I had the opportunity to work abroad and the quality of my work was highly appreciated by management. I worked on the ships for 8 months and back in SA now. I appreciate the support and guidance I received from UBA.

  • I saw the article of UBA in the kuier ,magazine in Kimberley, My only wish was to come to cape town and meet Claudia. I was made the top student for 2015 and currently being paid to train to become a lecturer at UBA. I am very blessed and so grateful for this life changing opportunity.
